The QI team work on various aspects of quantum information, quantum
communication and quantum computation, from foundations to
implementations.
This includes the development of cryptographic protocols including
quantum key distribution, quantum coin flipping, blind quantum
computation, verified quantum computation, secret sharing, and secure
multiparty quantum computation.
We also try to understand the fundamental quantum features which give
rise to quantum advantages, and how through information perspectives
we can understand better the foundations of quantum mechanics.
- Practical systems for quantum cryptography and communication complexity (continuous-variable QKD, quantum money, etc), silicon photonics implementations
- Secure quantum network protocols (secret sharing, blind computing, secure multiparty computation, verification methods), development of multiparty resources
- Foundations of quantum mechanics and implications to quantum information (toy models, contextuality, steering)
The quantum information team is involved in several national and international projects. Members sit on the steering committee for the GdR "Quantum Engineering, from Fundamental Aspects to Applications (IQFA)", and QCrypt.
We believe strongly in building and supporting a strong local community and are co-founders of the Paris Centre for Quantum Computing (
pcqc.fr).
