Smart Mobility - An approach using multiagent planning and coordination
The objective of this thesis is to propose a multiagent traffic management system using the High-order Agent architecture model (HoA) as a basis for the agents. This proposal will include aspects of modeling, design, and implementation of cooperation mechanisms between the agents. HoA agents are context-aware and can be deployed in ubiquitous environments. The theoretical problems to be addressed in this thesis consist in the definition and implementation of effective cooperation mechanisms between HoA agents. These mechanisms must also (i) allow the agents to optimize the realization of their individual intentions and (ii) be able to rely on machine learning (reinforcement learning) to improve the overall quality of the system. This approach will be validated through the use of simulations and experiments reflecting real-world scenarios.
