Titre / Title: META-EXPLIQUER POUR APPRENDRE UNE STRATEGIE
Abstract : Even when a system knows no other strategy than the development of all the possible actions, it can find the solution and give a satisfactory explanation. However this is unsatisfactory when too much time was needed to find this solution. To improve its performances, the system must find a better strategy so that it arrives at the solution faster. To do that, it explains not only the solution, but why some strategy is better than another one. Instead of explaining events of the external world, one explains events of the mental world. Applying to such metaexplanations methods similar to EBL, one can find better strategies. In order to do that, strategic knowledge has to be defined in a declarative form; moreover, the system must be able to make experiments, so that it can create situations where it is easy to compare methods.
