Titre / Title: SUR LA NOTION DE MODèle en informatique

Résumé : Cet article fait la synthèse de réflexions menées dans le cadre des réunions de l'Equipe MUSTIL, sur la notion de modélisation en général et plus particulièrement en informatique. La première section est destinée à clarifier l'usage du mot "modèle" dans notre discipline. La seconde propose une analyse portant sur le rôle des modèles en aide à la décision. La troisième section prolonge cette réflexion en prenant appui sur l'utilisation des modèles dans le domaine de la biologie. Enfin la quatrième section propose quelques repères concernant la notion de modèle dans les logiciels applicatifs.

Abstract : This paper is a synthesis of discussions within the MUSTIL Team, about the notion of model in computer sciences. The first section of this paper aims at clarifying the use of the word "model" in our domain. The second section suggests an analysis of the role of modelling in decision support. The third section enlarges this analysis to experimental sciences, particularly biology. Finally, the fourth section is devoted to the notion and the different levels of representations and modelling in software engineering.
